Ah, ok. The redesigns are unnecessary, though. To me, it promotes sexism, discrimination, and clothes that are totally USELESS because the mobians have fur to cover themselves anyway.

I fully agree. The problem is that Sally were the only female that didn't wear any clothes. I personally Blame Japan for dressing the female characters in the first place.

Yep. I hate to use the terminology, since not everything about the past is good (ex: racism, sexism, slavery, forced marriage, etc.), but back in "the good old days", people were less prudish about anthropomorphic animals not wearing anything. Clothes were either for fashion or to distinguish more prominent characters from the background characters. Or in the case of the Fraggles, for example, it was an age thing, as most younger Fraggles are without clothes, but as they age, they at least wear a shirt or some sort of top but all Fraggles of all ages are without pants and in the case of The World's Oldest, he's gone back to being without clothes except for his glasses, which he needs in order to see, so maybe it's a natural progression for them. After all, laundry is one of pessimistic Boober's passions, so there would need to be clothes for him to wash, anyway. This applies to both the Muppet version [ www.youtube.com/watch?v=9-CYae⦠] and the cartoon version [ www.youtube.com/watch?v=PIoftG⦠].
