Rule 2: It's a Trap!

In DayZ world bandits will set traps in the streets, airport, docks and forest. Yes it is pretty much true that a lot of people did fall for the trap. xP So my advice is: If you see food, ammo or meds in streets, airport, docks or in the forest...DON'T PICK IT UP! (If you really want them so bad then scout around the area to find the bandit and kill him/her to get the items) Just walk back and find other way around so that way the bandits will not see you and follow you. And just look for food, ammo and meds inside the buildings too.
