Have to say I'm really enjoying this and I really appreciate their time and effort dedicated for this course.
Week 1 - sketches list
About the sketch
Although I was initially struggling with setting a horizon and confirming all I draw to it, I think I did a decent job at it in the end. Still, It is nowhere near good for sure haha. I decided to focus the towers more than the castle/city so placed them on the intersecting lines(rules of third)
Also wanted to practice a bit on drawing rocks/terrain and clouds. Its certainly not the best but I guess I'll practice more

It looks amazing! Your landscapes just keep getting better and better with every picture! It is a very beautiful and majestic scenery, I like the towers and the castle, the perspective, the light coming out of the second tower... the mountains and the steps, carved in them. It is like a place from ф fairy-tale or a fantasy story. You drew it just wonderfully!

This looks pretty good! A very nice fantasy landscape - I've seen a mountain in Scotland looking similar - as if carved by some dragon claws. ^.^

Search for the Glamaig on the Isle of Skye. Here's a nice example:

Legend has it that a dragon used to grind its claws there hence my first impression on your picture. ^.^

You're most welcome! Scottish landscapes are a blast when drawing rough and rocky sceneries. There are only a few photos left in my gallery I took on my trip, but you're free to use them as a reference if you happen to like them and want to redraw something. Some more really breathtaking views can be found when googeling for the Cuillin range, you might like them.

I think it end up really good!!! The rocks texture are really awesome and this illustration could me definitely in some book, it's very cinematic and epic, also the towers and castle are amazing!!! Damn! your skills are getting better every single time you submit a new piece, amazing work friend!!!

Actually i struggled a lot and this took two days to finish, which is too much
I think dedication is the key to improvement. Trying to keep that in mind by drawing daily hehe

You're absolutely welcome!! I think you are really improving a lot in landscapes it's amazing how you illustrated this piece and sure we have to be always trying and training and you sure are!! Sometimes it's hard to train every day, but it's very important if we want to improve.
