Sketch commissions are STILL OPEN! Drop by here for more details!Commission #5 is complete! This one was paid for by ~assero , a $19 shaded commission featuring two full-body characters. He requested to see the two main protagonists from Rumiko Takahashi's manga series Rin-ne, Sakura Mamiya and Rinne Rokudo, sitting together while Rinne stoically gives Sakura a foot massage. Sakura is surprised but very much enjoying herself, and, much like my Maho Minami picture , her shoes are visible at the end of the bench.
I'll confess that this one gave me some trouble. I had never heard of this series or its characters. The only Rumiko Takahashi material I'd ever actually partaken in was Inuyasha, when the series used to air on Adult Swim. Didn't take long for me to get sick of that
It's a lot easier to work with characters I'm familiar with, but I did what I could with this one, keeping to the commissioner's requests. I can only hope he's happy to see it at last!Sakura Mamiya and Rinne Rokudo © Rumiko Takahashi

You know a guy loves his girl when he's willing to sit down and massage her feet for her and you know a girl picked the right type of guy by finding a sweethearted foot lover. Great picture dude. I love this a lot. There's nothing I love more than girls enjoying having their feet treated.

Don't think that just because the picture is a commission/request that its not a real display of your skill. Even if the idea wasn't originally your own, you still put a lot of effort into making this and it shows. You should be proud of this piece. Besides, at least its a more meaningful moment than if the commissioner just wanted the girl to be tickled or something else along the lines of blatant fetish fuel. Not to mention the utter lack of art on here where the girls get to enjoy what's done to their feet. Take more pride in yourself for doing this. Its a great picture.

Maybe not so much as she is, of course! I had little to no direction to go on with these characters, since this was a commission and I had no idea who I was actually working with here. But I was happy to get it done all the same.

It almost seem that's he showing that he hiding his feeling or something. And about Sakura, I love her expression while she's receiving a food massage. 
And beside that, when I meant about her expression...I'm talking about the way she closed her eyes while smiling.

I guess she just sorta struck me as that type of girl from what I saw. A bit on the silly side, to counter Rinne's brooding appearance. So for extra loveable goof factor, she has big feet. At least they aren't too small XP Thanks for commenting!

Really diggin' the shading on the skirt, and of course your handling of expressions, hands, and feet are top notch as always. The foreshortening of Rinne's left arm caught me eye. Nicely done overall sir!

Takahashi is nothing short of a manga goddess! I grew up watching Ranma 1/2 (InuYasha not so much....).

I heard of Ranma way too late to really get into it. If I were a bit older, I'm sure I probably would have loved it... And well, it's not exactly "fanart" if it's a commissioned piece

I couldn't place the characters at first. But then I read the description and saw the resemblance. I bought two volumes of the manga months again. It's interesting~ But anyway! Another great commission^v^

I'm very happy to hear that! I'm sorry if I made it sound like I didn't want to work on this picture. Its subject matter just seemed... I don't know, simple? I guess, for lack of a better word. But there's nothing wrong with a picture being simple! If anything I often get a bit too complex.
