i tried to give her shoes but i didnt like the results of them so i just made her barefoot, which ironically ended up catching the attention of this barefoot fetish group and made this drawing the one with the most comments

time is a big problem. I know I definitely have problems with how much time my art consumes. I know it sounds cheezy, but just consider it another obstacle to overcome on your journey to become better. And you'll definitely grow from this so just keep up the great work!!

Well first off I just gotta say: WOW!! This is awesome! You've gotten so good so quickly and I'm very impressed with your growing talent. The colors are very vibrant, the detail is amazing, and your grasp of shading is definitely improving.
Though, as always I have a few small tips.
In future drawings I would choose a specific lit source from which the majority of your light is coming from. In this the light is coming from so many directions it makes it difficult to give the character real depth with shading. Having highlights and lowlights are large keys to giving more dimension to the pieces you create. Having her look like the light is coming straight at her is fine, but you contradict that by having lights under her, behind her, and above her. I'd also make a greater definition between the light and dark colors. This would definitely make her stand out all the more.
Proportion wise, you've improved so much that the adjustments I see are just so minor that it's barely worth mentioning. Such as her left hand behind her is a little deformed and her left leg is also a little off. However, it looks to me as though her head is also a little large in proportion to her body. Is she supposed to be leaning forward? If so then the top of her chest and shoulders should be showing as well, with more of her stomach cut off. But if she's just supposed to be standing naturally, her head does seem a little large.
All in all this drawing is amazing and I really really hope you place 1st in the contest. I can't wait to see more of your work!! Great Job!!!

The reason her head is "too big" is because i decided to give vyvian a loli style of 5 heads tall. Shes actually floating above the ground a couple inches though that doesnt seem apparent. i agree her left leg and hand are a little weird, i referenced something on posemaniacs for the legs but had to make her body smaller to fit the character size. She is not leaning forward if anything shes leaning back just a touch

Ah I see. Well, you're definitely improving and I hope you're not taking my notes to harshly... I love your work and I can't wait to see more, and I'm extremely impressed with how much you've improved in such a short time. So, I really hope you rank high in your competition.

No way Your harsh criticism has always helped me improve, i just try to justify things like any artist would. Thing is after 10 hours of working on a piece i start to get the mind set of "i just wanna finish" because i wanna make the second page to vyvian, but i know i cant yet cuz there are still things i need to practice. But it must feel nice to have a polished manga, to have people put your name with your story. speaking of which you should start a webcomic, you got amazing digital skills and im sure you are a good story teller.

I normally find that if I take breaks and switch up the pieces I do after certain amounts of time I can come back with a fresh eye when I'm ready to continue. But I've also known artists that can't come back to a project once they've put it aside. So, I dunno really what to tell you about that...
Anyways, you really think I should do a webcomic? I tried to make a story a while ago, but that fell off to the wayside and I have been having some extremely difficult times the last couple months with being inspired (I'm gonna write a journal about it). Oh well, maybe I'll get back into the groove of things again soon...

i do like 30-90 minute chunks at a time. My entry didnt place at all, not even honorable mention. I got Mangachan'd again, a term i intend to use for entries that completely miss and go under the radar. A little discouraged but i will never give up. I deserve to lose for putting my "lets get it finished" attitude into the drawing. i had a brilliant concept but i never took the time to fix the left hand and legs, plus the building is scibbled, the lights arent uniform on the path way. the ferris wheel was pretty amateur too. I had fair warning my entry wasnt good enough too, prediction video where mine wasnt mentioned
yeah stories are hard to come up with, for me they are easy but to sustain it and go with it is the hard part.

I don't think you ever "deserve" to lose. You could always put more effort into your pieces but you don't ever deserve to lose. Anyways, I'm sorry that happened. But I'm super glad that you're not discouraged and I hope that you will always continue to work hard because one day you'll be sweeping the competition off their feet!!
