Title – Sally Acorn – Before and After

Artwork – pencil drawing
Materials – CLASSIC COLOUR by Faber-Castell (colour pencils).
– COLOUR GRIP by Faber-Castell (colour pencil, black for outline and shading).
– GRIP 2001 by Faber-Castell (lead pencil, sketch, not visible).
– DUST-FREE 18 71 20 by Faber-Castell (eraser).
Process – 1. Sketch the lines with a lead pencil.
2. Outline the sketch with a black pencil.
3. Colour in the new lineart (mix colours when needed) and shade while doing so.
4. Add extra shades with different colours.
Description – Here is a drawing of Sally Acorn in her original design (that Archie comics made a touch on) and redesign (for the Archie Comic's reboot of their SONIC THE HEDGEHOG comics). Both designs can be compared because they are drawn next to each other. Colour pencils are placed on the book to highlight what colours were used.

I personally prefer Sally's old design to her new one, but I'm not as against her new design as I once was. Your coloring job turned out great in both cases, though.

I don't know Sally that much, because I don't read the comics nor do I want to, but I really like how they're giving her clothes in the reboot of their comics

Yeah, I wouldn't have read the comics if I wasn't so curious. I might make a review at some point but not now, too much to review.
I like Sally because of the character she has in the reboot. Also I like her design for some reason, I just really like it. She actually originated from a old Sonic TV show referred to as SATam, not Archie comics, that show was their inspiration. Heh, if you want to know more you can ask.

Yeah, I know Sally was in that show, but the oldest Sonic Show I like and watch is Sonic Underground. I honestly don't know if Sally's a bad character like lots say she is, but I'd rather not find out by reading the comics.

It depends on one's opinion. I think Sally is picked on because she is 'naked' unlike the rest of the female characters. Either that or they just follow others' opinion for the sake of it. Who knows really but I don't think she's bad at all. In other words, people judge a book by it's cover, so they judge Sally before investigating her characteristics.

I just don't get the hate. I don't join hate groups here on DA or bash characters. Sure, I'll have the heroes in my stories battle characters I don't like, but they never kill them.
So I'm neutral to characters I don't like, whether they're evil or good in one way or another.
