So, it's official, I give up on the RWBY art challenge, it's too much work, and it's freaking July, soooVOLUME 4 HYPE!!!!!!
I drew Ruby with her Volume 4 outfit, or Time Skip outfit whatever you wanna fucking call it
It wasn't 12 hours after the reveal of the new outfits, and there's fanart already, so I decided why not?
So by drawing this piece of fanart, I'm officially on the hype train for RWBY Volume 4 on October 22
Also don't tell anyone I secretly downloaded the WIP leak of the RWBY teaser

Can I ask how you blended the colors of red and black on the hair? I'm making a character with blended hair like Ruby's and having a hard time coloring it...

Well, I don't really "draw" them...
I just use Adobe Illustrator's Pen Tool to make art. I really want to draw, but I don't have a drawing tablet cause it's pretty expensive here, and using an iPad as an alternative is a bad alternative... orz

I don't know how to exactly say it, because how I work is complicated
But, start out with the color of choice at the tip of the hair then switch to other color of choice, then use a brush that fades out of color and abuse it till you're satisfied with the result

Ruby's new outfit is great. It kinda looks like her mom's and it really shows how much Ruby has grown. She's a Big Red Riding Hood now.

I like the outfit, too. It feels like a mix between her old dress and a tribute to her mother and Penny.

6-8 months is a long time, you can't just wear the same outfit for your entire life.
Also, Ruby looks more mature with the outfit, and I like where RT is taking this series after its dark turn of events
