Description
This is Bug. We're not sure how old he is, though the vet secretary lady put him down as 6 weeks old.The story: While driving I saw this little guy huddled in the middle of the road and veered off as soon as possible to run over and pick him up off the street. As soon as I reached Eggy's house we took him to the vet.
The diagnostic (from the Discharge sheet itself): Bug's temperature was normal. He appeared depressed and had a hunched posture. He was mildly painful on manipulation of the jaw and had a small laceration on the left lower jaw along with marks on the tongue consistent with bite marks (he bit his own tongue). He did not appear visual but had normal reflexes otherwise. No peropheral neurologic deficits were noted, no fractures were palpated and Bug was able to stand/walk. His belly was distended and he had many adult fleas.
He needed one staple in his jaw to help close up the wound so it could heal and you can actually kind of see the owie in this picture.
He's a Lucky little Bug, he is.
