This is a GREAT message and concept. It's a sorry state of affairs when people have to look to fictitious characters as role models. It's one of the many reasons I think this world is so messed up sometimes. If people would just own up to their actions, take responsibility for them, and also be held accountable for themselves...I think this world be a better place. Keep up the good work man. You're an inspiration to me and many.
P.S. if you ever plan on revisiting this work. See if you can somehow integrate a deadbeat character or and irresponsible character in there somewhere. Maybe a cop ignoring a crime while a superhero takes care of it.

hmmm...this is difficult to make an unbiased crit of because i know what you were trying to do with it and also i know a little of your background so its obvious to me what the message is. i can't decide whether it does work aswell as you intended....if it was just on its own outside of DA on a billboard or an advert would it still resonate? im not sure
perhaps if there was something else on there to contextualise it, like the logo for the NSPCC (an english charity for prevention of cruelty to children) for example that would stamp home the meaning.

Amazing artwork man, makes a great point (no im not suckin up). tho in my opinion, i woulda left the mask on. but i think wat ur tryin to say is dat( and it points out in the message) dat one person doesnt have to have all the powers in the world to take a sec of ur time to help others in need. i hope these messages can be used in ads for magazines. keep it up man.

This is a great drawing, and a great message. I think it would read better if the caption were broken up into two bubbles, perhaps reading, "Dammit, I shouldn't have to say this, but... We shouldn't be the heroes they look up to!" (Including some form of punctuation at the end.) I kind of think both 'haves' in the second sentence are unnecessary and weaken the impact a bit.

the reason being is because i currently work for dc comics drawing and coloring teen titans go covers, also coloring and drawing for sony, and trying to keep up on some personal projects to keep me in the loop.
i have a 4 page story i drew and colored for wildguard, and it'll be out on the rack dec. 22.

Thats cool man!! I'll def. look out for your stuff! I was offered a marvel age spiderman book but they said they didnt have a script ready. They said they might not have a script ready for me before another editor in the company contacts me so I dont know what I'll be working on. I have all these spidey sketches ready that I dont want to post yet! lol

You for real have to donate this to some cause... get some prints of this out there and into the hands of adoption agencies and shattered homes...
The juxtaposition of your style of art and it's inherent appeal to younger generations next to the seriousness of the message makes this piece work very well...
