playing around with my white and black charcoal pencils...it's really on blue paper but you can barely see it.

thank you! i tried to look at your gallery a bit, but as i am in a rush to get to work, i couldn't look around as much as i want to. i did see your portrait of milla jojovich though, great work! i also tried to do that same pic but yours is definately a better likeness. charcoals can be very challenging, i wish i could just do pencils but i haven't figured that out yet, i like the lights and darks of my black and white charcoal pencils too much

O like this piece. It is definately eyecatching with the blue paper and the white and black charcoal. you control the media well and have a good knowledge of the planes of the face. All in all, well done.
The only problems I have is that it is difficult to determine the light source as there are conflicting highlights. Also the jaw seems askew with the rest of the face. Makes it look as if the jaw was broken.
But a nice piece. Very promising.
