Thally, you are truly talented. This is a stunning piece. I love how you made me feel cold just looking at all the snow. I feel terrible for Ember being out there in frigid temps and bleeding like that. I hope someone comes and gets her. Nice touch with the steam cloud coming from her mouth. A lot of people forget that extreme cold does that.

It's funny, Ember having steam/smoke coming from her mouth was the first thing that came to my mind. I didn't know why yet, I didn't know what surroundings to put her in... Just that facial expression and steam coming from her mouth. The rest of the idea for this pic developed over time. I'm so happy people seem to like it, I don't often draw backgrounds.

umm tbh I dunno, I watched a lot of speedpaints lately and tried to use some of the tricks they use there...?
Also, my storyboard class just makes me scribble more in general and makes think more about backgrounds, I guess that helps too.
