Yes, there's a flower cloud in the sky with a mysterious orange balloon. No, I don't know why.I decided I was going to try painting some clouds, but I didn't have a reference picture(I was too lazy to look one up). I just stared making vaguely cloudlike colours and before I knew it, the cloud was shaped like some sort of flower or crown. Not like a cloud anyway. I added the ballon in for the heck of it. There was more on the top of the painting, which eventually led straight into outer space(I was really strapped for ideas). I didn't like that part so I just cropped it out of the photo. I also made the colour of the sky more vibrant on the computer, instead of the duller, more realistic colour I had made it to begin with. Anyway, tell me what you think, and how I could improve this, because I think I'll try painting clouds again with an actual reference. Also, does anyone know whether you paint clouds with a brush that has soft or hard bristles? I used hard for this, but I don't know if I was doing something horribly wrong.

What did you use to make it, watercolor/acrylic or oil?

Its made with acrylic. Unless stated otherwise, all of my paintings are in acrylic.

I see. You could always try using some water in the acrylic, treat it sort of a watercolor so that you can make subtle layers. Also I would recommend a softer brush more most of the work with maybe a hard brush for a stippling effect in some small parts.
