Cherry Ruby is an earth pony who lives in Appleloosa. Her special talent is making dresses. She heard about how Rarity has opened many branches of her Carousel Boutique in Equestria. She then decides to open her own boutique in her hometown. After she opened it up for the first time, she believed ponies would come to her store. But no one did. Hoping to find a way to get ponies to come into her shop, Cherry Ruby sent a letter to Rarity, asking her for help. When Rarity arrived, they worked on making dresses. However, Cherry Ruby felt that her dresses were missing something. Apple Charm helped by adding some necklaces that she made. With the necklaces added, ponies of Appleloosa liked the dresses and began wanting to go to Cherry Ruby's boutique and buy dresses and jewelry.
