The D&D game I am playing now has really been a character killer for me, this is my third character, hopefully sheβll stick for a while.Β
Her name is Githya, she is a shadar-kai witch and a member of the Covent of the Fates, a small covent consisting of only women praying to Melora, Sehanine and the Raven Queen. She specializes in lightning magic and seeks for forgotten magical lore wherever she goes

Well, we haven't played sine Lina (the half elf) was eaten by ghouls, so I haven't yet met the party as Githya. The game goes well, we are currently doing the McGuffin thing and the last sessions we have been dealing with the elves who have all been assholes to us,Β Mayale'Thrae was made up to look like a normal elf which was the reason the elves would even let us in because they thought she was one of the People. Lina had some long good rants about how lame elves are and that drow are nicer and more accepting, Mayala'Thrae really poisoned her mind. Shortly after she died which was okay because I think I had already pumped her for anything that was worth playing with.

I see, so is Mayala'Thrae one of the only surviving party members for the first set up? How did the drow are nicer argument go down?

Yeah, Maya and Eboncross the shade are the two remaining members, the third player have died once and I have dies twice at this point.
Conversation went something like this
Lina : So, what's up with you? Does drow count as elves, or what?
Maya : Depends, we are certainly not like the elves on the surface
Lina : Oh, that is good, because they are mean and lame and xenophobic and doesn't care about anyone that isn't an elf and they'll just leave you because they don't see none elves as equals.
Maya : I don't like your elves much ether, I assure you we are not like them
Lina : I thought you were different, for one you work with us without strutting around like you're better then everybody (Maya usually does, but it hadn't happened while Lina was there)
Maya : I see...
then after she found out a little about Lolth (information was scarce)
Lina : I found out a little about your goddess, she seems very dodgy
Maya : Oh? Our goddess is our protector, she cares for us and our interests
Lina : Well, the creepy spiders is one thing, but it says that she is all about deceiving and lying to gain power and that murder is accepted and encouraged!
Maya : I see, well you have to remember that all information you have found here is written by the elves, they are very jealous of us because we broke free and found our own happiness, though it is true that we do play a game of power in my home city, to us it is the ultimate way of expressing ourselves and grow stronger, it's a game with very high stakes and we all take part at our own risk
Lina : That seem most unappealing! Though I guess that if everyone is in on it of their own free will it's okay....
Maya : I assure you that no one who don't belong is in our games
Lina : that's good, I don't think I'd want to go to your city
Maya : you probably shouldn't
So yeah, that was usually how it went, by just supporting Lina's dislike of the elves and letting her make her own assumptions, she managed to convince Lina that Drow are nicerΒ

Yeah, it was pretty funny, I think Maya mostly wanted a meatshield to protect her from the more suspicious Bahamut paladin

Oh yes, the dwarf in the party doesn't mind at times because he wants to get in there! However sometimes people have been there when they haven't wanted to be. Like I have done it to Dumpling more then once. She has a good excuse in character too since she is the healer. She explains that it is there job to protect her so she can heal them and keep them alive, she can't do that if the monsters have got her.

Yeah, it's a good power and there's not really anything inherently bad about using it, though it could certainly be abused for assholish purposes

I took it because I thought it would be cool to go with more teleport stuff with Ico, because that is always useful. However I love the fact you can be an ass hole with it because that works so well.Β
