A scene from my book. Liqourize and Atane.
"Don't leave me alone here!"
Liqourize heard Atanes heartbreaking cry, but she didn't stop. She couldn't. It was better this way, no matter how one looked at it.
"I love you!" Atane yelled, bursting into tears. "Come back!"
Liqourize flapped her wings. One flap after another her wings took her away from the only love she had ever known - and that's why she had to leave. They couldn't be lovers in this world, not in this life.
