Spent all day retopologizing and unwrapping my most current character. Actually I also started polypainting in zbrush but I didn’t get any renders of that yet.The new zBrush makes retopo’ing really easy but I still recommend doing some things by hand for cleaner topology. I also used UV Master to unwrap my model. This model is like an experimental piece for trying new stuff with zBrush 4R6
Right now there is an AO and Normal map. I forgot to take pics of the wireframe, sorry! But I feel like the bakes came out really well. I used xNormals to get the normals and AO. I’m thinking of reworking my process so I can just get the maps straight from zBrush instead of using xNormals. Gotta find the best way to do that ;; Probably just need to have some surefire retopology early on so I can just lower sub levels to unwrap and still keep hi res detail. WE WILL SEE D:
