Description
Here’s the next set of characters: Taiyun and Maescia. The two of them both work as opera singers and travel the world performing. Taiyun didn’t always have a voice and was given one by Maescia somehow… I will now furnish you with all the information you need.
Taiyun:- A once quiet vessel who was given a voice.
- They don't like being cold or wet and they somewhat have a disdain for baths.
- They made it out the Abyss and ended up in Royal Waterways before reaching the City of Tears.
- They roamed the streets for months until one day they snuck into a theatre and were eventually adopted by Maescia.
- Using soul magic, they got voice. They can only really yell when talking and the lowest volume is like... loud talking. They can also sing really well
- Taiyun has a very peppy and friendly personality. They love singing, Maescia and visiting their siblings.
- They can be somewhat of a crybaby. They don't know how to use a weapon.
- A very confident and proud singer Is very much beloved by the rich folk and royalty due to her lovely voice.
- She cares more for the average and disadvantaged bugs, though. The money she makes goes towards her travel equipment and the rest she gives to those in need, where ever she is
- She has been looking for a protégé for a while but none interested her until Taiyun. After talking to them for a while, she realized they had no voice. She promptly took the child into her care and using her shaman magic gave the child a voice aka howling wraiths. The child has a voice, but only knows how to scream. So she taught them to speak and she's training them to sing and to have an indoor voice.
Their Story:
Taiyun had been wandering in the City of Tears for months, and was fed up with being cold and wet, so they decided they'd go indoors. They heard singing and followed the noise. They ended up sneaking into a theatre. They watched most of the show but ended up falling asleep. A couple hours later they were awoken by Maescia. After a couple of questions, she assumed they were an orphan of some sort, so she took them back to her hotel room.
Maescia after getting all the info she could presumed Taiyun was without a family and a home, so she'd adopt them herself. She fed them, named, cleaned them, clothed them, and just treated them as her own child. She also gave them a voice via Soul magic. Unfortunately, Howling Wraiths isn't good for low volumes, so Taiyun could only scream at first. Eventually she taught them to talk and sing.
They two ended up leaving Hallownest during the early stages of the Infection and didn't return to Hallownest until after it was eradicated. The spell of losing your memory didn't affect them since Maescia isn't from there and her ride is has its own seals to protect them from magic and general attacks. Taiyun did get the longing to return during, due to Hollow's calls, but really had no way of going. When they returned, Taiyun was performing with Maescia. They also got to meet their siblings and was overjoyed. They still travel often, but Hallownest is the one place they always return to.
