What doesn't kill you... will kick you in the crotch and laugh at youRufus from Deponia; he wasn't really treated well by others, but he still goes on and does not care about the opinions of others & that's quite inspiring. I'm really grateful for that character.

this is what bothered me from the very beginning of the first game: the feeling that all these people who kept laughing on Rufus' dreams were - at the very least - no better than him. i think if there was someone who believed in him he wouldn't grow up the way he eventually did.

Rufus very much is a product of the environment he grew up with; had he actually had the chance to grow up among people who loved him? Things would have been a lot better for him. The poor, poor guy...

No matter how much he did wrong, Rufus is the character I want to hug tight and say: "You are the best in the universe. You are the best thing that happened to me".

I won't lie; same here. Rufus deserves the world and more - I know a lot of people who do not like him, because, let's be honest, he can be quite a rude guy, but??? Based on how selfless he was in his last moments? You realize he truly had the soul of a hero.
