And now for something completely different! :3
Yep, never thought I'd whip a couple guys like this out, did you? X3 Yes indeed, ladies and gentlemen, I'm expanding my horizons for my Invader Zim OC collective and am introducing two totally new Vortian characters! They're made specifically for the chapter of Chen's life when he becomes a pirate captain during the Irken-Vih'hvahnn War, as loyal members of his crew! ^^
Qlax is an ingenious Vortian scientist and engineer, one of Vort's finest in its entire history, even during its Irken occupation during Operation Impending Doom II. Qlax personally didn't really mind being enslaved and imprisoned by the once-ally Irkens, just as long as he could continue on with his passions, no matter who he did them for. Though he is constantly mobile, never comfortable contributing to just one place all the time, which is why jumping on board the Irken Pirate Act was the perfect opportunity for him. Upon joining Captain Chen's pirate crew, he became decent friends with Shmeven, for sharing the same technological ingenuity with the AIR Unit. However, Shmeven sees their friendship more as a continuing friendly competition, always trying to outdo Qlax's efforts. Qlax is a being who runs on pure logic for the majority of the time, so hiding his exasperation over Shmeven's impulsiveness and occasional incompetence isn't very easy for him. He has constructed his own style of spectacle-goggles, which enhance his vision to spectacular new heights that aid the crew in the most helpful of ways.
Krum is Qlax's younger brother by one (Vortian) year. He is inflicted with a chronic state of alien dementia that has deformed and mutated him physically, which has affected his speech pretty severely, but hasn't affected his common sense too much. He's constantly craving destruction of the nearest threat possible, and will sometimes go to great lengths just to seek one out in order to satiate his unique hunger. Thanks to exposure of Qlax's engineering genius, Krum has become quite skilled himself in constructing explosives out of anything he can find, having a surprisingly talented knowledge of chemistry and the location of reactionary elements. Krum is also known best for his strong sense of loyalty, especially to his older brother, Qlax. The two stick together no matter what, both looking out for each other in their own unique way, even if Qlax seems to be the more protective of the two. Krum is sensitive to generally warm climates, and prefers to dress loosely wherever he goes, having tattered his own clothes as a bit of a statement of his... eccentric disposition...
