"Surrounded by enormous piles of money!" -Flynn RiderTangled premiered in Sweden today and I just couldn't help myself. I went and saw it...in cosplay.
Let's not mention the fact that I had to sit through two hours of classes in cosplay. Yes, the irony of me being a law student, sitting in a room filled with around two hundred other law students, listening to a lecture about evidence in trial while being dressed as a thief didn't escape me. Really, this cosplay is proof of my insanity - I got the idea to make it...three weeks ago. Which gave me three weeks to get all materials, construct everything and style the wig while having classes and school projects. Not fun.But hey! I managed!
This one's dedicated to the very lovely *Lil-Kute-Dream who's just such a great friend. And a wonderful Disney cosplayer (really, check out her stuff if you haven't already!)

*skratt* Tack! Jag håller faktiskt på att göra om den just nu...jag lyckades göra några riktigt dumma misstag i och med den korta tiden jag hade att göra cosplayn på, så med lite tur så blir den bättre sen.

*skratt* Ja, men de roligaste reaktionerna var från personalen och många vuxna. Barn har en magisk tendens att inte ifrågasätta varför Flynn Rider står i en biograf och mumsar popcorn.

Wow, trodde barnen skulle vara värre med frågor.
Men det är alltid intressant att se hur gamlingar reagerar. De verkar antingen hata det eller älska det!
Det hade nog varit kul. Men det kändes som ett lite väl stort projekt för att bara användas en kväll. Håret är ju inte det enklaste (inte klänningen heller, om man ska vara noggrann).

Nä, barnen var mer "Är du verkligen Flynn Rider? Din näsa är snyggare i verkligheten än på de där affisherna! Får jag prova kronan? Kan jag få en affish?", så de var inte så ifrågasättande.
Jo tack. En av anledningarna till att jag gjorde just Flynn var ju att kläderna och håret de inte var så otroligt detaljrika så det var möjligt att knåpa ihop under tidspress. Men varför bara ha på sig det en gång? Du kan ju ha på dig den på konvent/cosplaymöten.

Tur det! Har du gjort kronan också? Eller tog de bara för givet att verkliga Flynn hade stulit den också?
Det är ganska konstigt faktiskt, om man ska begå något brott är det ju rätt korkat att sticka ut från mängden. Så logiskt sett borde man ju vara mindre misstänksam mot en utklädd person (så länge ansiktet är synligt förstås). Aja... det är väl bara att låta dem stirra.
Det verkar vara en rätt lämplig mängd detaljer. Även om man inte har bråttom. Att sitta och brodera i evigheter låter ändå inte speciellt lockande...
Ioförsig. Men är inte de flesta "cosplayvänliga" konvent fokuserade på Japan/Asien? Även om man får köra västerländskt så vet jag inte hur pass accepterat det är. Har ingen lust att bli lynchad direkt (lite överdrivet, men ändå).

Nja, jag hade inte gjort kronan (jag hade inte tid för det) men jag köpte en liten billig krona som visserligen inte var korrekt, men den dög till att roa barnen. *skratt* Jag funderar på att göra en korrekt krona tills nästa gång som jag ska ha på mig Flynn... Jag måste bara lista ut hur.
Jo, precis! Om jag skulle råna en bank så skulle nog det sista jag gjorde vara att dra på mig nånting så uppseendeväckande som en färgglad cosplay. Men jag vet inte, Flynn kanske såg så relavit normal ut att alla trodde jag hade på mig nån skum alternativ klädstil (för det gör det okay att stirra? <__<)
Tja, jag är konventare och jag brukar cosplaya icke-anime cosplays på konventen jag går på. De flesta brukar faktiskt vara välkomnande, några brukar vara nyfikna på varför jag cosplayar nånting icke-anime på ett anime konvent men värre reaktioner än så blir det inte. Jag får mer komplimanger för att jag gör nåt unikt.

Det är ju en populär film med allt fler cosplayare (antar jag?), så någon ambitiös person kommer säkert lägga upp en tutorial för kronan. Förhoppningsvis.
Barn verkar ju hyfsat lättlurade, men reagerar de inte på rösten? Alltså att det är en kvinnlig röst till en manlig karaktär (såvida du inte råkar låta likt Zachary Levi/Måns Zelmerlöw)? O.o
Tja, det kunde ha varit värre. Tänk hur folk skulle reagera på en Pascal-dräkt. 
Åh? Då var det ju inte så farligt ändå. Kan vara värt att prova någon gång. Dessutom, "alla" känner ju igen en Disneykaraktär. Och prinsessorna är ju inte direkt obskyra heller. C:

*skratt* Det finns ingen tutorial än, men en person var snäll nog att lägga upp sina WIP bilder, vilket hjälper en del, men jag är inte säker på om jag vill göra den exakt som hon gjorde. Men vi får se.
Okay, jag erkänner...jag låter inte alls som Zachary Levi eller Måns Zelmerlöw. Nu blev du förvånad, va? 
Nej, jag har ingenting emot blickar alls, faktiskt. Jag tycker de är ganska roande, även om vissa blickar är lite extrema ibland.
Nej, jag tycker det. Det är jätteroligt att cosplaya annat än anime, för folk blir ofta väldigt glada över att se en. Jag cosplayade Bröderna Fluff tillsammans med min syster under Meuwcon förra året, och det var riktigt populärt och Disney borde nog vara dubbelt så populärt då!

Trust me when I say it, I'm really not that great, but I'm learning. I've come a long way from when I started. Practice makes perfect - my friends used to make bets on how long it would take me to attach myself to the roof with the sewing machine. The kindest one gave me two weeks!

*laughs* Fortunately for me, no one won the bet. I haven't attached myself to the roof yet (knock on wood)! Patience really is the key. It takes quite a lot of time to make a decent costume, but it's really worth it if you manage to get the patience.

How is the Swedish version of Flynn's voice? Just wondering 'coz I think the casting people in Finland were just screwing around with it... >.>

*laughs* Unfortunately I don't think cosplaying law students are any type of guarantee of quality. I wish it was!
I must admit I haven't actually seen the Swedish dub yet - I've seen the trailers and from what I can judge from those...well, the voice is okay. He sounds a bit mechanical and lack the right feeling at times...and personally I think his voice is too high. But a friend of mine who saw the movie dubbed told me that he did better during the singing parts, which is always something.

I was talking about the quality of cosplay. Maybe it has something to do with the attention to details? (Like I would know, I'm an Art student xD)
They've actaully got a different person dubbing most of the trailers and not the actual dubber from the film. But he's got the same problem as the Swedish one apparently; too flat and a bit mechanical in acting. Again, he did better in the actual singing department xD

Oh, I see. It's rather sad since we in the Nordic are generally quite good at dubs...and then we (Finland and Sweden, at least. I don't know about the rest of the countries. They might have superb dubs! ^^) had to fail a bit when it came to Flynn, which is too bad.

I really wanted to go see it in cosplay when it premiered here as well, but I decided against it for two (main) reasons: 1) Rapunzel's dress = way too complicated for me to compile on a whim and 2) Her hair. It's long.

Heh, I know what you mean. The only reason why I even managed this in less than three weeks is because of the fact that Flynn's clothes aren't too ornate. That and luck.
And it was a lot of fun watching the movie at the premier in cosplay.

Yeah, that's the good thing about the male clothes -- they're easier to collect. XD I am planning on sowing an Ariel dress, though, just to wear at this convention thing I might attend. :3

*laughs* Except I didn't collect that much. I either made or altered everything in that cosplay. I'm just glad his clothes didn't come with embroideries/emblems of any kind or I'd never been able to finish it.
