There is a lot of stuff going on in this Deviant Art drama and I won't post all the links about it, but please feel free to look them up yourselves.

Here is some back story for you:

Suicidal Imma:
Imma-The-Deer posts on her DA account that she will be committing suicide. She is transgendered and claims that the abuse she has went through is too much for her to bare. Like many people who want to help those who are suicidal, lots of people send their love and support to try to persuade Imma from harming or killing herself.

Ignorant Hai Hai:
In comes HaiHaikittyPPG. Hai Hai posts hateful and ignorant comments towards Imma for being transgendered. She tells Imma to go kill herself and even go as far as drawing a picture showing herself grinning as Imma hangs herself. Like lots of people, they attack Hai Hai for her actions. At this point, no one knows if Imma has read the messages from Hai Hai, but lots of people do believe that Hai Hai's threats ultimately caused Imma to die.

Sarah, the girlfriend:
While Hai Hai is causing an uproar, someone who goes by the name "Sarah" has been updating on the situation on Imma's DA account. She said they discover Imma unconscious with a head wound and a twisted ankle. The doctors have put Imma in a medical-induced coma and hope that Imma will come through. Sarah also states that Imma has not seen Hai Hai's post.

Hai Hai's Apology:
Time goes on (being banned and come back again), Hai Hai posts an apology as well as her reason for being hateful towards the LGBT community. She states that living in China caused her to dislike and hate the homosexuality and transsexuals. She also states that she is a victim of human trafficking and was forced to become a prostitute. Whether people believe her on not, there were people who continues to attack her and others who want to accept the apology as earnest and sincere.
Some people state that Hai Hai's backstory sounds similar to a video game (copied exactly). Hai Hai refute this and claim it was only coincidence.

Suspicion:
Sarah post an update that Imma woke up from her coma. She said Imma become instantly depressed and need to calm down to for surgery for her twisted ankle. Soon people start to become suspicious. The injuries seem to not correlate to a suicide attempt and the coma seems to be a dramatic decision for Imma's condition. Doctors only put patients in a medical-induced coma as the last resort. Her behavior immediately after waking up is also unusual, as most people are dazed and confused after coming out of their coma. People tend to have a hard time remembering what happened or know where they are. It takes time for them to regain their memory.
Sarah is suspicious as well. How is she able to log into Imma's account? Even if Imma gave her the password, it is odd for someone to update the situation of Imma's condition. If someone you cared about is in a coma, he or she would be too distracted or too emotionally upset to think about updating info. to the person's DA account. The tone of her writing is also strangely similar to Imma. Just like handwriting, everyone has a unique way of wording their sentences. It is highly unlikely that two people would talk and write the exact same way.

Proof:
People start to ask for proof of that Imma was in the hospital. Sarah post an update that she won't show any proof, because she wants to protect Imma's privacy. People then start to become at odds with each other. One side claiming that she needs to show proof because there are cases where people lie about committing suicide. The other side claims that it is cold-hearted for someone to take a picture of someone suffering in the hospital.

Sarah deletes the last updated journal and claims that she will not come back to DA for future updates because people have been sending cruel and hateful messages to her and on Imma's account. She is upset that she is doing something good but gets attacked for it. People became either more upset or more suspicious.

Truth Revealed:
Finally, a new journal update has been posted. Imma states that she has been pretending to be Sarah the entire time. Her girlfriend has already left Imma before she decided to post the suicide journal. She states that she just wanted to stop using DA and didn't know how to end it. She decided to use suicide as the best excuse for leaving. But after seeing so much support, she comes back as Sarah. Imma decides she will leave DA for good.

Who is Hai Hai?
Hai Hai's account has been deactivated since Imma's return. People believe that Imma was not only playing as Sarah, but also as Hai Hai. There is some truth to this belief. Their artworks look similar to each other and Hai Hai's account was strangely deactivated on the day Imma came back.
Imma later admits she was Hai Hai (with the subject "Are you happy now?")

Aftermath:
Imma did not leave Deviant Art and has been uploading new drawings of her OC, Sky. People have been either defending her or trolling her because she lied to everyone, even those who supported her. She displays the artwork that was given to her by many artists during the time she was supposedly committing suicide.

My Point of View:
During the Drama
I wasn't in the best state when this occurred. I was stressed out about school, drama at work, and the chores I have to do around my boyfriend's parent's house. When Hai Hai posted an apology, I instantly accepted her apology. People may have thought I have forgiven her too quickly but it was because during my depression, I have became shockingly empathetic. I was so upset with my life that I instantly show empathy and compassion to anyone who is going through any sort of pain. The Imma drama caught me when I was at my lowest, as well as kindest, time.
Looking back on that I do not regret forgiving Hai Hai so quickly, because I still don't want to hate her. People seem to believe that when someone do something bad, they should be harshly attacked and punished until they change. But the problem with that change isn't instant. And constant negative attacks will only hinder the process further. You're not likely to lose weight (at least not healthy way) if you're constantly being told you're ugly and fat.

After the Drama
Hai Hai is Imma. There is no way around it. After seeing Imma going back to using her account, her artwork correlates with Hai Hai's artwork. Both Hai Hai and Imma use bases and both draw their characters sexualized. I have no doubt in my mind that Hai Hai and Imma are in fact the same person. Imma's apology is also same as Hai Hai's. Both painted themselves as victims and only lightly apologize for what they did.

Imma needs to completely list all the things she has done, from lying about the suicide (and possibly her backstory) to pretending to be Sarah and Hai Hai. She needs to thoroughly apologize for the damages she has caused upon those who supported her, the people who were suspicious of her, and the people who are truly depressed and suicidal. Not only say sorry but explain why she should be sorry.
***No more playing the victim***

She caused many people to not only attack her, but also each other. I myself wasn't attacking anyone, but was put into questioning for supporting her. The artists who took the time and effort to draw her supportive artwork do not need a slideshow! My sister drew for you and you lied to her and other artists! They don't need you to flash their gifts when they're draw while you're supposedly committing suicide or in a coma!

Imma has painted herself as a unruly, bratty teenager who wanted attention and did not care or consider the consequences of her actions. It is everything to do with what she wants and it doesn't matter the damage she has caused. She is willing to fake any role and play the victim just so she can continue to do what she wants or get what she wants. There are people who truly need emotional support because they are going through thoughts of suicide. Pretending to be the victim of abuse and suicidal attempts will only cause further suspicion towards future, real-life victims.

Even after all of this, I still do not wish to attack or send threats to Imma. Imma isn't going to change just because you told her to--just the same with any teenager or ignorant person. She will do what she wants and will continue to claim that she is sincerely sorry for what she has done--but actions speak louder than words. We have to move on and not allow hatred to blind us from respect for everyone and ourselves. It isn't to say to just forgive her. I am still very upset and angry that I showed empathy toward someone who couldn't even grasp what empathy means, but that doesn't mean I should start sending threats to Imma. What's done has been done. We can't change the past and forcing the future to end the way we want it is unrealistic and impossible. If Imma is really sorry, she will change on her own. If not, then we should ignore her. Attacking her will just make us just as bad as her (as Hai Hai)

It is easier to hate than to move on.

February 20th, 2018
Imma returns to her old account on DA. She said she talked to DA staff members and they decided to give her a second chance. She claims she is getting counselling and taking medication. She states that she isn't here to cause trouble. She wants to reconnect with friends and spread artwork. However, she is no longer going to do commission work, though she might accept art trades occasionally.

My Thoughts:
I honestly don't care about Imma right now.
I have a lot of real life stuff to do (I am currently in the nursing program). If she wants to return, then it is fine. If she sincerely changed, then her progress will show. It is up to people if they want to give her a second chance or not. Either way, there is NO REASON to attack/threaten Imma. I am fully aware what she did (hence this journal), but in no way I want to drench my pride and virtue into shame by verbally abusing someone.

"Go kill yourself" "Die" These comments lead to deaths. Just because someone did someone wrong, doesn't mean it is okay to torture or to harm them. This behavior is disgusting regardless which side you're on.

I don't personally forgive her as she needs to do a lot more to prove she has truly changed.
But I'm not going out of my way to stalk and harass her. I have better things to do.

I highly recommend those who feel a strong need to harass people to either:

ignore her and move on or seek therapy.

There is no valid excuse for that kind of attitude and mentality.
I have no tolerance for this behavior.
