Reese sat down at the table and counted out all the coins she'd saved up this month. As she pushed around the small pile of coins, she realized what this would mean for her family. She knew that she should have gotten a job earlier on, but having 2 kids made her so tired and she needed to be there for her children...

"Why couldn't I have planned ahead..." The brown biped muttered. Thoughts of her making mistakes when choosing to adopt Ruby and to have an egg... she was happy as a mother, but would her children be happy with her as a mother?

As a tear started to roll down her cheek, she lifted her head up at the sound of a door creaking open. Reese covered the coins with her paw as Apple made his way over to his mother.

"What are you doing up so late honey?" Reese turned her head to the green wyngling worriedly. He didn't answer, and simply placed his paws onto Reese's tail and frowned, confusion and worry filling his tiny face. Reese gripped the coins, not wanting to worry Apple anymore than she already had. As she scratched them lightly she thought about what this amount of coins would mean for her family. Just imagining a world without Apple was enough to send another tear rolling down her cheek, and she lifted Apple up onto her lap.
