Finally managed to experiment and decide for a coloring style for now. I like the cel shading and want to use it furthermore. Additionally I added two different lighting layers, which I could use for subtle, warm gradients and highlights (:

To not overdo it with the texture, I reduced the opacity of the texture-layer.
