Tenga waved off the weird expression Prairie had made. It wouldn't be the first time and it probably wouldn't be the last. She hadn't explained herself those times either.

He was used to her… whatever, and was running on autopilot. After so many magic classes he was used to the routine too. Which was the whole point, to do something constructive on schedule to learn some discipline. Light magic was proving more… difficult though, if only because it was so different. It was one of the least substantial elements to work with, even with wind you could at least feel the currents. But light he could barely feel what he was doing, just see the results.

It was whatever though, still cool to be able to heal and stuff.

Todays lesson was making light, using existing light. Easy enough, probably. At least sitting in the dark helped the light stand out. He got there eventually.

Overall a steady and somewhat boring day. He'd even forgotten about that earlier hiccup with his roommate.

Which is why he was completely caught off guard as he stepped outside the classroom and was immediately tugged to the side by his arm. Not forcefully or anything, he had the strength to counter it but he was surprised alright.

Wait… he recognised this gro. She was Kena's sister Taki wasn't she? The thought was quickly proven correct when she quickly reintroduced herself as such. From there she excitedly explained she had taken classes for light magic some time back and was curious about the lessons this time round. Then something about visiting Prairie? Which, well, was exactly where he was going so it only made sense to walk back together. Besides it was rude to let an eggbound gro walk around unaided right? … Not to mention dangerous now that he thought about a particularly bad tale he'd heard. It was pretty much decided.

Besides as they went he was happy to have company on the long walk back to the Cosy Coatala. They took the most scenic route there, it was a nice day out after all, he'd give it that. It would take them longer still to get there with her condition too. Or at least he slowed his pace without a word since he wasn't sure she'd appreciate a comment about it.

They came to a open park space and agreed to take a little break. He helped her take a seat on a low built brick wall, keeping his arm up and ready just in case she needed it for balance and she all to happily held on with her usual easy smile.
He condensed up some water to drink, keep the eggbound lady hydrated and safe, he could do that much. That was the moment she commented on how lovely it was to have drinks or even full meals outside, especially this time of year.

Tenga tilted his head, looked around and figured, huh, yeah she had a good point. Already ideas were swirling around in his mind. He had to hold back immediate giddiness. Later, later, he told himself.

Not too long after that they continued on their slow but steady way back to his shared apartment with his weird roommate.
Don't mind me, skipping on actually writing dialogue. I do that sometimes when I'm not sure how characters will speak.
