What are Embryonic Creatures?

They are small animals or things enveloped in a thick, colored membrane that obscures most of the creature's color, rendering it black. They float sometimes feet off the ground and have been known to sence what their owner is feeling and communicate to one another through a form of telepathy.

There ones in particular are considered mini, meaning they are not the size the small animal might be, but more the size of a baseball.

A floating, slimy, green embryo of some sort of reptile.

It hovers inches off the ground and appears to respond to commands but the reptile inside is in stasis as if it has not been born yet. It's outer membrane is coated in thick green slime that makes it near impossible to hold. Its mouth periodically opens and shuts when it is involved in a conversation.

It hovers inches off the ground and appears to respond to commands but the creature inside is in stasis as if it has not been born yet. It's outer membrane is coated in thick red slime that makes it near impossible to hold. It resembles a snake with wings as seen in some Aztec lore.
