Here's the link to my Emoticon Page. Click on the emoticon you want, and copy the the thumbcode to use it on your profile.
It is considered an emoticon, so if you search through the emoticons after hitting Add Media at the bottom of comments, or journal entry, or deviation entry, type in the emoticon that you want and it should appear.
For example, type in "steam" (without the quotations), and you can find my Steam Emoticon, amongst other emoticons that might be there. That's just an example.
I can't explain it more that that.
