FIRING PHOTON TORPEDOES!

My husband and I were kicking around the idea of SpongeBob characters as Star Trek characters in bed last night before we went to sleep. We thought of everyone and I went to sleep excited to wake up so I could start working on it. When I got up, I started research, and I decided to search "spongebob star trek" on google to see if anyone else had done it. I have to say, Owen-Marsh beat me to it fav.me/d33zrjp She even thought of Imitation Krabs for Data, one I had struggled to come up with last night and was so proud when I finally thought it up! Man, did my heart sink to see it. It was just downright PAINFUL! But it was a good picture, and once I got over it, I decided to do my own version anyway.

We didn't have much problem filling in the characters with who should play whom (except Data).

Deanna Troi - Pearl Krabs: Both are over dramatic and a bit starved for attention.

Captain Picard - Squidward Tentacles: Squidward is reliable and likes to be in control and make decisions about everything, and he thinks he's better than everyone else, too.

Wil Riker - SpongeBob SquarePants: Doesn't mind taking orders and being "second" to Squidward. I really was worried about getting the beard to look right, but it really does look okay! Having him standing obnoxiously in his chair rather than sitting was an unplanned stroke of genius.

Dr. Crusher - Mrs. Puff: Well, teacher and doctor sort of go hand-in-hand, don't they? They're both nurturing professions.

Data - Imitation Krabs: Both robots, enough said.

Geordi La Forge - Patrick Star: It just fits! Besides, there was a scene in SpongeBob once where Patrick wore a visor very similar to Geordi's.

Worf - Sandy Cheeks: Both kick butt and know how to fight, and love to prove it!
