Wow, it has been a while since we've heard anything from the Apple family, and it's cool to see you come back to work on this character. I don't know if he's gonna play a part in the main story, but I kinda hope he isn't. While I love all the juicy drama going on in Seraph's little world, it helps for their to be a bit of breathing room between certain dramatic moments. Having outside characters working on their own issues also helps the world you've created feel a bit less...narrow minded I guess would be the right word for it. I just mean it makes your world feel bigger and more realistic when the viewers aren't only seeing stories unfold from the perspective of the main character. And I'm rather intrigued to hear just what happened between Applejack, Caramel, Troubleshoes and Soarin of all ponies!
As for a good voice actor...hmm , something every member of the Apple family has is a thick country accent, and I can't say I know too many voice actors who are especially known for one. So instead I'm gonna have to go with someone with a range large enough to pull one off (even if they've never done one to my knowledge) but can also play the gentle giant/ big-brother protector as well. Hmmm, how about John DiMaggio? The best character of his to compare to Spring would have to be Jake the Dog from Adventure Time. He's a layback guy who may enjoy punching the occasional monster, but is much happier just spending time with his loved ones and providing whatever helpful advice he can. But if someone were to put said loved ones in danger, Jake wouldn't hesitate to strait up kill someone if it meant protecting his friends/ family. I don't know if Spring would have the heart to go that far, but I imagine he and Jake have an equal amount of loyalty to those closest, even those who don't share the same interests as they do. Get the guy to do a decent country accent and I think you'd have a good Spring Harvest.

Seraph and Harvey are pretty friends, but their stories aren’t all that connected aside from occasionally venting to one another -Harvey’s got his own problems though *cough* Razzle and Dazzle *cough cough* as well as a few other things.
As for his poly parents, that’s a story for another day, probably in the near future. Poor Applejack’s love life is about as tumultuous as Celestia’s
I really like your choice of voice actor- I’m not really into Adventure Time all that much but from what I know of it I can definitely see where the idea comes from!!
