movies are seeming to do a nostalgia effect lately, with remaking old movies and series and all. So why not videogames? It'd be kickass to see them remake chrono trigger, instead of just porting it to the DS.

Everyone has been thinking that for a very long time. Such a shame square stopped the guys that were making the chrono resurrection game some years ago... they now have a closer relation with toriyama thanks to their relation with enix, and even the (now disbanded) team of Yasumi Matsuno could do an incredible job if they were in charge of making the remake... aaahh... curse square-enix if they dont make it happen in less than 3 years...

Well, some really dedicated fans were remaking the entire game in 3D a couple of years back; but, thanks to Square-Enix, the entire thing was shutdown. It's kind of odd though, considering that it was a picture perfect remake of the original and it was clearly marked as fan based work. It should have been okay, unless Square-Enix is working on it's own version...
Oh well, not much anyone could do about it now. Great work btw!

Now this is what I call a loving tribute. They don't look as flashy as Toriyama's original designs, but still very full of energy. This really captures the feel of the game well. Excellent job.

To everyone wishing for another Chrono game, here's something to check out ( if it hasn't already been covered).
Go Google "chrono crisis" - you'll know it when you find it.
Crisis is an "unofficial" sequel to the CT/CC legacy. Fanmade, but has made more progress than most others.

Google Chrono Compendium - once there, head to the "Crimson Echoes" part of the site.
Crimson Echoes is a fan remake/romhack of CT, taking place almost right after CT ends. Same charries, locations, but new stuff and changed stuff.
I know it's not what we are all wanting, but until SQ/EX DOES something with the rights (which they are just sitting on), it will have to do.
