Hmm, I've always thought they should go back and remake all the older Final Fantasies as well.
It would be interesting, to say the least.
But yes, they should stop coming out with new ones, and work on perfecting what they've got.
They should remake Chrono Cross as well, but give Serge some lines so he's not totally pathetic.

Everything is spot-on but you managed to inject your style into each character, magnifying the cool factor! The cascading gears add to the dynamism as well.

Amen to that. There was an independant project (by professional game programmers) about it that was working on remaking 10 scenes from the game. They were doing it to test out some lighting and menu interfaces for future titles, that looked really promising. But as usual, the Square-Enix lawyers shut them down. note me if you want the url or some of the WIP shots they posted before they got shut down.
