If this has taught me anything, it would be that I should attempt necks/shoulders more and I should stay away from afro hair. I cut this short as I was getting incredibly bored with the afro and I could not find a good way of doing it... not quit while your ahead, but more quitting why you haven't bugged up the whole thing

how do you do this??? I tried your tutorial... (greatly instructive) but I somehow just couldn't make it work and ended up painting the whole thing... I absolutely love this style though

this is an amazing portrait... the only criticism i'd have is the lack of shadow variation, mainly by the forehead. you have all of this wonderful dimension in the light and then cease to continue it there. still very very good work!! kudos to you.
