Description Heh, it's original title was Crack Bunny.
One of the weirdest pictures I've ever done, but I had fun coloring it. It's also a gift, so when my friend comes back for a visit, she'll have one weird-ass picture to hang on her wall.

In case anyone was wondering, he's missing a bit of flesh over his jaw.

Dude! I LOVE RABBITS! I show them for a living! (I have six of 'em!) Just having a rabbit in any picture instantly makes me smile.

God, the colors are just catastrophically in-tune with each other in contrast to the inky blackness of the sky. That bleeding moon...is genious. (Blood is my own strange little fascination.)

And I love what you did with his coat! Its almost like he's white, but has a powerful flourescence in his hair that refracts light like a prism. Ingenious! XD His cute little "grin" is euphoric, too.

Oh, man. This picture makes me want to go draw something because of its trippy awesomeness.

Freaking awesome, man. Freaking...awesome.

No, much thanks to you for posting such a kick-ass drawing.

Aww, why not? I could direct you to a breed that's perfect for you...

I have to get a hutch and supplies and all that good stuff, which requires money that I don't have. But I'd LOOOVE to have one.

TheCau In reply to chezarawolf [2009-02-08 22:56:27 +0000 UTC]

Not necessarilly a whole hutch. You just need a cage with a wire floor, really. And feed bags only depend on how large of a rabbit you get.

Tell me, how large of a breed are you thinking of? (Not saying that you have to get one right now. But just as a thought?)

Small = 2-5 lbs
Medium = 6-9 lbs
Large = 10-14+ lbs

I want a big, fat-ass rabbit. They're so cuddly!

So, Flemish Giant would be your perfect match! [link]

I also have a white Flemish buck, and he's the closest thing to a dog I have!

They weigh in from 13 to 20 pounds at maturity and can easilly replace a small lap dog. They're very sweet and can be just as lazy as their owners and come in seven different colors; White, black, sandy, fawn, blue, light grey, and steel grey.

They make excellent pets as you can teach them just about as many things as you could with a dog, and need much less interaction to be content.

That's exactly what I've been looking for! How much do they cost? Like the rabbit itself?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

TheCau In reply to chezarawolf [2009-02-11 01:40:08 +0000 UTC]

Cost depends on the breeder, bloodlines, and pedigree. If the rabbit is a "reject" with a disqualification i.e. missing toe, broken tail, unshowable color, etc...you could get them from the 'free' range to about $40, but they can range from free to a couple hundred dollars if you want a high-end showing rabbit that guarantees an instant win.

Although, they're a big breed, so they need access to feed 24/7 so they'll grow and be happy. That means that they cost a little bit more to feed than a Satin or Harlequin. (But you can litter train any rabbit if you let them run around your house, so you won't need a cage in that scenario.)

I'm sure that they'll be having a show where you live pretty soon. (You live in Texas, right?) There's about...eight shows coming up somewhere around the 21st to 28th. I could pinpoint them for you if you wanted to go for a look, but I need to know where you live first before I can find one that's even remotely close to your hometown.

Damn, when I get the money, I definitely want one. I think I would let him run around the house so he could get some exercise.
Yeah, I live in Texas, in Wichita Falls.

I like most the colors! Those bright neo-shades are wonderful and their contrast to the black sky is catchy. Bleeding moon is also quite nice looking.

And hey, you just got to love that grin! >:3
