About 8 hours in Photoshop. Trying to do faster paintings while I get an idea. This just arose as I was listening to some Victorian/Napoleonic era music. I considered adding some steampunk stuff but didn't quite feel like it was needed here. You can really make up whatever you want here, though I meant it to seem as if the two on the right were officers of the company marching out on the right, mentioning information or getting any last orders from the commander on the left. Considered adding more characters and species but it seemed crowded enough.

The uniforms aren't really accurate to anything in particular...at least I don't think so. I chose bits and pieces of things that I thought were interesting and mushed them together.

Really trying to catch a calm nature here despite the battle going on, and the effects of lines of muskets firing in the distance, along with the smoke of them and cannon fire.
