Description
The process to color this: [link]1. the sketch (digital sketch on wacam tablet)
2. "ink" and tweeking
3. flat colors
4. shading
5. highlights
6. secondary highlights
7. some burn tool usage, crop and sign.
each step is in it's own layer in photoshop in case I mess it up I won't mess up the whole thing XD. Plus I copy them in case I go overboard with the burn tool or something.

First off-- you are an incredibly gifted artist. But my real question is how do you get from step one to step two? The original sketch to the ink one...?

But to answer your question if you are still curious, I just create a new layer over the sketch and trace over it with a cleaner stroke.

How do you ink it so clearly? Like, when I ink my drawings, I can never get the expressive lines that I get when it's in pencil. Inking it always comes out kind of choppy... How do you ink it so fluidly?

Nice! It's always fun to see that great looking pictures is made with relativly simple tecniques. I might try using double sided lighting sometime

Huh, it took me awhile to spot all the differences in the burn-dodge layer, but comparing the two it really shows how the little touches can add depth to a picture.
