it's finally done!! dunno how many hours i spent on this, sure seems like a lot. siigh, i've been procrastinating so much lately, it's probably the season. all i wanna do is sleep.
oh yes it's completely made with a charcoal stick. all comments/critiques are welcome. please enjoy.. and happy early new year!

This is beautiful. you used charcoal really well - kept the highlights clean, and made it very realistic. i love the highlights in her lips and eyelids - do you render the whits back with an eraser, or draw around it? Also, what kind of charcoal do yo use, compressed or willow?

hehe, i see that you're really into the technical stuff, eh? well, i actually drew this piece about two years ago and havent really done any big pieces with charcoal since. i think this was done in compressed charcoal and i didn't use the eraser a whole lot for rendering the white spaces (except for the tiny parts). i'm really glad you like my work and you just reminded me: i need to pick up the charcoal sticks again.

this was done in charcoal.. there's not much else to it other than that. but i recall this has taken me quite a while to draw, with all the details in it. thank you for the comment!
