I remember when someone freaked out on me for the first picture, saying that they wouldn't work as a couple...saying it would piss off Romanians and Bulgarians...yet a crapload of Romanians and Bulgarians have told me how much they love the couple. Not that I'm bitter about the misplaced hate before...nope.....okay maybe a little. In a totally grown up way

Exactly! But when Romania first came out and I started drawing them together a girl on here freaked out on me telling me they hate each other and the entire population of both countries would hate me for drawing them together .__.

Huh, I've never seen art of him with brown eyes. In the colored sections of the manga it's red. And the hair...that was a technical goof up on my part that I'm working on. It was brown but when I added the lighting it because blonde...I'm still learning with lighting in pictures. I just couldn't fix it because I was working on chores.
As for the hat I'm still not great with objects and their perspective so I'm sorry it doesn't look right.

and it wouldn't make much sense, since no human being can have red eyes and the majority or romanians have brown hair!
many people think his eyes are red because of that slight red hue they have, but if you look closely they're kinda caramel coloured? and his hair is light brown too

I fixed it. Huh I have that picture and it's always looked red to me but I've change it to a more reddish brown. Hima makes eye color so difficult for some characters with how he colors them. (Romano has had both green and brown eyes before it's so damn confusing) However, the argument of it not being a human color doesn't really work....Prussia has it and other characters have purple. (Which can be eye colors they are just really really reallyx10000 rare I guess.) But I get what you mean.
Ohh you were talking about the physics of the placement. Yeah, physics aren't exactly taken into account in anime/manga.or cartoons in general

Yeah, that's true. (Ohhh man don't get me started on the vampire thing. I don't normally get annoyed with hetalia's little stereotypes, since that's done in the actual series a lot, but that's one that drives me crazy. I was actually pushed into writing a FF where he ended up being one and I haaated it so I put it on hiatus. Oops, I ranted, sorry...heheh...)

the thing that i hate the most is that people think it's ok because vampires started in romania
but that's not true!
the whole vampire trend started with bram stoker, who's irish! before that book, no one in romania knew what a vampire was!

Not even remotely true. While a lot of European countries had their own creatures that had similarities to vampires in the past, none of them really had a vampire before western Europe and the Christian church got their hands on the superstition. At least that's what I gathered from the research I did for a story of mine.

i mean we had and still have this thing called "strigoi" but htey were more like....uh a sort of vampire and werwolf?
the only similarity they had with vampires was that they drank blood. for the rest, they were hairy, had tails and claws and were born when an animal stepped on their tomb
but yeah we never have vampires like Dracula

Yep, and not to mention Stoker originally intended to make his book take place in Austria. It really had nothing to do with any sort of connection to Romania and vampiric creatures, it was just that Transylvania sounded better and was less known.
But no many people try to dig deeper into that kind of thing so...yeah.
At least it helps with tourism...?

lol i dont think i've ever seen a romanian horror movie
most of our movies are comedy, drama or a comdey that makes fun of dramatic stuff
and yeah it helps with the tourism but it's sad bc that's kinda the only reason they come
they're not interested in our culture, history, architecture and traditions
they just want to see their edward sparkly bullshit

I would love to go to Romania and learn about the actual culture, history, and architecture. But, not gonna lie, I would want to look at the Dracula stuff too. I do like the story, and I like mythical creatures, but I'm also into culture and history. Someday. Someday I will go to Europe.
Ugh...Twilight....that's the biggest abomination to romance, vampires, and published literature I personally have ever (tried) to read. (When the book first came out a friend tried to make me read it, I got through two pages before I handed it back and told her to keep it away from me forever.)

i think the thing that bothers me more about twilight is not the portrayal of vampires, but of romance
they have an incredibly abusive romance and young girls think it's cute

Yeah, that's the part that pisses me off the most as well. She's a pathetic character and yet people look up to her for her 'unwavering love'. Not to mention the dudes are total dickwads as well.
