Description
I'm not a poet so just...okay?
~ There once was a kingdom discontent and sad,
for their beautiful queen had grown violent and mad.
She filled their great country with famine and strife,
so her children decided to rider her of life.
They approached her large throne bitter yet smiling,
telling her sweet nothings to keep her from fighting.
With their fatal thrusts each dagger did tear,
and leave only a corpse, face filled with despair.
The siblings felt guilty but it had to be,
for without her madness the country was finally free.
The sister became queen, fair and just,
her brother remained prince, one all could trust.
They went on and married, a maid and a knight,
but they would visit the throne every midnight.
The body soon withered and began to decay,
yet despite the stench they did not stay away.
Their lives were now happy with her not around,
but there once was a time she was mentally sound.
Spreading joy to her children and people one after another,
after all, even in madness, she still was their mother.~
There is a lesson in this I hope you all get.
I'm thinking of making it into a picture book-esque thing, a picture for every line. That's...if I ever get the time to do so. lD
