Eh, I blame american media...
They build up your hopes of true love and a happy ending by making cheap-ass romantic comedies where everyone gets the perfect guy.
And then cold harsh reality sets in, and you decide that the hot guy you banged the night before wasn't really your prince charming, so you in turn stop caring, so the two o you get into fights more often, and he files for a divorce because as it happens, you weren't really his princess either.
I dunno...I'm not very happy at the moment, so I'll just shut up before I get carried away...
