no Shadow Walker is a parasite that lives in the shadow of its host. eventually it grows into its host until the host Is so hollowed out there is no use in keeping it.

Okay its just that there are so many shadowbeings that its hard to keep track. Is it related to the shadowswarm that also lives in the shadow of a host, slowly multiplying until they reach a critical stage whereupon they quickly and completely devour the host. And the only way to purify the host is to ensure that it cast no shadows at all, like what happens when the sun is at zenith?
Or is it closer related to the shadowmen that lives in the subdreamworld and draws sustenance from dreamers and occasionally possess one, trapping them in the darkland beneath the dreamworld while they live on in their victims body.
Or are they more like a shade, or living shadow, a two dimensional beings that lives in the dark corners of the world, and attack wayward travellers that venture near their domain.
or is it just a regular old hidebehind?
All of these creatures of course have their origin in the subelemental plane of shadows, a plane that buy the way is very useful in interstellar travels as everything is much closer together, if thou can survive the horror of the place of course.
In case thou don't know the subelemental plane of shadows is a damp quiet world where very little work can take place because the temperature of almost everything is the same, about 7 degrees Celsius. The whole plane is filled with an ether that both obstruct light and visibility but also casts a faint glow that allows deep shadows to grow everywhere in all directions.
The whole plane and every denesins in it is a twisted reflection of our world. Practically everything there wants to kill us or worse, but armed with the right knowledge we can defeat or at least avoid most of it.
However it is also home to some eldritch abominations so horrifying that just looking at them will drive thee mad.
Thou may be thinking of "cthulhu" when I say eldritch abomination, but he from a whole different plane altogether. The elemental prince from the subelemental plane of shadow is much scarier.
But as I said, we don't need to concern ourself with that, this thing is definitly not an elemental prince. As far as I can tell it only consumes individual souls and not entire worlds.

sure but thou didn't identify the genus of the shadow, so we know what we are dealing with, all of them have a weakness that we can exploit, but misidentifying them can be fatal, like misidentifying a snake.
