Description I don’t know if Guilmon talks like that and puts 'mon' after names in the English version, I’ve only seen the Japanese version.

It's something he eventually outgrows in the English dub, since he learns that humans aren't Digimon and the same can be applied to animals but I headcanon him falling back on it when feeling strong negative emotions such as worry or distress. He may or may not also use "mon" as an affectionate honorific, which would definitely be beyond adorable.

I've only seen the English version but I'm hoping to see the Japanese version with subtitles. At least the Japanese characters sound like themselves. I remember this one alternate English dub I watched part of; Henry's voice sounded off but I was prepared to get used to it if I had to since it wasn't that bad; then Guilmon came on sounding like a monster AS GUILMON. I turned it off that instant and started ranting about how the whole point of Guilmon is he looks like this fierce battle machine but is really just a big puppy dog for the most part.

I generally never was a fan of dubs. All i saw as a kid were Dutch dubs, those have a nostalgic feeling for me now but its only for Adventure 1 and 2. I remember re-watching 1 in English and being ok with it but once I watched it in Japanese, i didn't want to see the other series in English

I tend to watch English dubs because I'm a silly American but I generally enjoy both, especially when the voice acting is suitable in both (case in point: the French original "Miraculous Ladybug"; both the original and the English versions have great voice acting and all the characters sound spot-on). The sole exception is Detective Conan/Case Closed; not only did they not finish translating due to lack of fan interest but they didn't bother to translate a character's Osaka ben accent into anything; this bugs me (and his fangirls!) because not only is it a massive part of his character but it's also been a plot point at least once.
But I can understand a love for the original language; they did create it after all. And that way, you're not subjected to Dub-Induced Plot Holes. Though one of those in English I did like was TK/Takeru wavering on whether or not he trusted Ken; he's an emotionally damaged 12-year-old boy so he's going to make a lot of decisions that don't make sense.

I haven't watched the original dub ofΒ Miraculous Ladybug yet but thats cause i wasn't sure if the original dub was French or Korean. But the English dub is really well done for that show.

The original dub is the French one but the Korean one sometimes updates first. But yes; the English dub is quite good and it has the best transformation phrases. Sure "Tikki/Plagg, transform me!" sounds cool in French but the literal meaning...give me "Spots on!" and "Claws out!" any day.
