Hi folks!I just wanted to take a quick break from our vacation hiatus to say a quick "Happy Birthday" to my good buddy . He's a fantastic guy, and a consistently positive force in a world where good people are more rare than they should be.
I started this in a stream I did a whiiiile ago, and I finally got around to cleaning it up! Cora's a little large for the enclosure at the local aquarium. They might want to think about upgrading that.~

You're ability to create perspective is incredible! I love the cool "touch glass" effect you have going on and it really makes the scene believable! Also, I like the shading of her suit. It makes it feel like she's underwater more than a straight black would have done! Great work!

Thank you! Yeah, I almost never use solid blacks anymore, just because it doesn't leave a lot of room for shadows, and really, with lighting and everything taken into account, very little is solid black when you look at it. Everything has at least a little bit of hue to it!

Very true! That's what my old art teacher always used to tell me. And it makes for a much more interesting picture and adds a lot more value to the "black"
