Sometimes, "Little Pink Houses" just won't do.
Really, I don't have much to comment on this one. I began it because I wanted to make a spiffy iPod background, but then after uploading it to my iPod, I realized because of the clock and the 'drag-to-unlock' thingy, a lot of the picture is covered up, so I would actually need something more square for that.
Mostly simple flat colors were used because I wanted something sharp and clean for the iPod.
I'll be back next week with the 1-panel comic I've been working on coloring today. (Yes, I said one-panel comic, and I know it's a contradiction in terms). The root canal went fine, even though my jaw still aches. Of course, Kawaii had to get her wisdom teeth taken out and completely steal my thunder. (I kid, I know you're in lots of pain. I'm sorry, here's pudding.)
To Takai: I love you, and I want to thank you for taking care of me! You're such a special person, and I know I don't always say it out loud: but you're the best part of my life. You inspire me to do everything I do, and I just hope that I can inspire and motivate you as you have for me.

I totally agree, I think we're on the same wavelength.
Comfort is a big draw for me- hence, I'm not a fan of stiletto heels. They just look too uncomfortable, and I know Takai would fall over if she wore them. In the way of shoes, I think a thick, chunky heel is far more attractive, or in the case of sandals, I'm a fan of wedge sandals, especially those that add a few extra inches on top of being stylish. ^_^

And as for chunky heels... well guess I have to be in the mood for them. If they're too chunky, they gave me the impression the girl/woman is "cheating"; besides if the hell portion is significantly higher, it still arches the foot too much and might cause the same side effects as long-term high heel use (besides also cutting down on valuable length, lol). ^^'
But if it's just a modest chunk, I think that's alright -- adds a few extra inches without focused stress on any single portion of the sole.

See, I never see it as cheating or taking away length... It just gives me the impression of consensual enhancement. It sort of says, 'Yes, I know I'm tall, but I want to be taller.' ^__^

And I see what you mean if the woman is significantly taller than you are. On the other hand, if she's marginally shorter, then the staggering sense of "tallness" goes away once she kicks off her shoes. Unless she plans to wear them forever.

Ah, I see what you're saying now. 
And I get what you're saying, there. That just never really bothered me, I suppose. Like I said, that even if the individual were shorter, the fact that they're wearing them implies an interest in being taller. It doesn't *really* make them taller, but it does show that they like what you like. And really, acceptance is a big thing for me. That's the biggest reason I love it so much when Takai wears these shoes.

Ah, now I see what you mean too. Kind of like the anti-thesis of the more traumatized tall ladies who rule out heels as "impossible" because it makes them "taller". Or the anti-thesis of what I call the dreaded "Cruise/Sarkozy Syndrome", where the women in question rule out heels because they don't want to be seen publicly "towering" over their husbands (even if "towering" only means a measly 3 inches).
Yep, in that case, consider your opinion wholeheartedly-supported. ^^

Well, the house itself is normal-sized. It just so happens that Takai had a bit of a midnight growth spurt, and now she's found herself stuck. She can never sleep when she's uncomfortable, so I would guess that one of these walls is going to come down in order for her to be able to stretch out and get some decent shut-eye.
(And I can fall asleep anywhere. It's like a superpower.

Well, while I'm sure all manner of furniture, electronics and miscellaneous nic-nacs were crushed during Takai's sudden growth spurt, I would say more that:
a) Takai is flustered because she's stuck in a box that she can't even sit comfortably in.
and
b) I'm flustered because I'm stuck underneath her. XD

I'm sad I haven't been around to comment on your recent up-surge in submissions! ARGH! Of course, I had seen the others before, and you already knew I loved those, but this is a new one for me. And I love it! Sometimes the simpler drawings can be so much fun and this definitely qualifies as fun. It would make a awesome ipod background. So cool! ^_^

I'm glad you liked the picture, it was fun to do... Unfortunately, a lot of it gets covered up by the clock and nonsense on the iPod screen, so I think I'll have to find something more square for this purpose.
