Description
... Vaulted Ceilings a Must.Hello everyone!
This little non-comic (I say non- because it's only one panel. Otherwise it'd be like saying you have a sandwich cookie when you only have half of an Oreo and no creme filling) is a scene we encountered a few times while trying to find a suitable place to live. You'd never think it was so hard to find a place Takai could stand up straight in. Just what are they thinking when they design these places?

Takai could star in her own TV series: Watch out for that Ceiling.

It'd be a short series. I give it until the second season for her to bust a hole in the ceiling from standing up too fast on one of the days she's wearing heels. ^__^

well, even though it'd cost more, you could check out older buildings. 19th Century/early 20th century places had high ceilings.
That'd give Miss Takai a place where she wouldn't need to see a chiropractor after a few days.
Also, watch out for Kawaii. She has the Power of the Turtle. I sure wouldn't want to wake up to weapon using terrapins...

Bah, the trials of apartment hunting!
SO MUCH HARDER than people think.
Espicially if you're...ah...a 'bit' taller than other people, yeah?
Truth be told, Takai's shape does look a trifle odd in this one. The wide hips look nice (I'm fond of properly curvy figures) I expect it's the shape of her shoulders and torso that make her look cone-shaped, as someone else said.
It'd look more natural if the shoulders were widened out a bit or her torso was wide. Perhaps wide from the shoulders and slimming down around the waist and widening out around the hips?
When I saw this for the first time, I too thought that Kawaii was even bigger than Takai! That said, I now see that she's far from being a giant, but she still looks very tall; going from her leg length and her pose, I'd say she should reach to Takai's shoulder. (Which would put her over seven feet. That's tall.)
I noted that someone thought that Chibi looked a bit like a child here, and I think it's the leg-length and body shape question there. Chibi'd look less like a shota if his legs were a bit broader, y'know? OR something like that. General direction, that style of 'fing.
(I've been reading Discworld. The lingo creeps on you. Like a bear with a two-by-four? Why does the bear have a two-by-four? The world may never know. The bear keeps hitting it.)
And you do need to watch the floors! And ceiling! The Earth is a DEATH WORLD! EVERYTHING WANTS TO KILL YOU! ESPICIALLY THE FLOORS! AND CLOUDS! And some of the sheep. AND AUSTRAILIA! OH, DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON AUSTRALIA! (Little known fact; Australia is not a continent. It is a geologically-based foreign spaceship carrying pure malevolence that wants you dead. This is why Australia is landlocked; geography is trying to protect you.)
So...yeah. It was nice to see a picture of all three of you; thinking of doing one where the heights are clearer?
(Also, kittens. Kittens are not trying to kill you. Everything's cuter with kittens. Mind you, kitten bites and scratches can be pretty nasty. I was once beaten up by a newborn kitten. True story! And my sister was bitten by a moose once-)
(Is beaten and dragged away before another Monty Python and the Holy Grail SHout Out can be made.)

Actually, the picture I upload next week will be a fairly accurate height chart that I did after I realized my screw-up. I'm just hoping I have time to finish it before then- because right now, my office is during their busy period, so I'm working extra hours, and then I have some contract work I have to spend some time on along with that.
(And yes, I love Terry Pratchett. I haven't read all of Discworld, but I've read a bunch of them. )
Thank you for the critique on this, too. I think the error on Takai was less in the proportions, and more in the location of the flare of her hips. As for me looking like a kid... I don't know, you could be right. I wasn't happy with how I looked in this picture anyways. XD

Love love love this picture! I'm just such a fan of the way your work is done! Do you use the tablet to draw them and then that paint program to color it?
Anyways, great piece again! Takai looks gorgeous and her expression is so freaking cute! ^_^

chibiBiscuit In reply to shinaa-Chan [2010-08-25 09:41:12 +0000 UTC]
Well, I've tried drawing on the tablet, and I really just can't get my head around it. I'm much more competent with a pencil and paper, so what I usually do is draw the lineart that way in my sketchbook, scan the sketch in, and then trace and color it using the tablet and Easy Paint Tool Sai.

chibiBiscuit In reply to ToddNTheShiningSword [2010-08-24 09:57:42 +0000 UTC]
Well, no, we were looking before that. ^__^ We were actually in the market because we were living with Takai's mom, and we were anxious to get out on our own. (Also, her mother lived in a fairly old house, complete with somewhat-narrow doorways and creaky wood floors. Takai was anxious to find somewhere she could be a little less conscious of her size.)

True, it's nice, but we wanted a place she can be comfortable, even if she's just putting her shoes on to go out. We ended up in a cozy place with vaulted ceilings in all the main rooms, so as long as she doesn't wear her heels, she can stand up just fine. ^__^

Her name is Kawaii, she's our roommate. best friend and Takai's cousin. ^__^ You can find her here: [link] [link]

See, that's where your wrong! Everyone has this predisposition that the world will think we're freaks, but that just isn't so!
Okay, I've been 'out of the closet' on this for a while now. I don't necessarily run up and tell everyone I meet, but if they ask about my artwork, I'll show it to them. And so far, I've explained this fetish to three women, I've showed them my artwork and you know what? They don't think it's weird. They think it's fascinating. Don't go out there believing the whole world will shun you for your fantasies, because once you get out there in the real world, you realize everyone has a kink. And believe me, having fantasies about giant women seems downright bland next to some of the stuff out there. You know they have a fetish for being hit in the face with a pie?

Yes! I mean, I wouldn't go and drop the bomb on the first date, but when you get to know them, and the topic of sex does come up in a conversational manner (I wouldn't say it when she's making advances or anything), and you're both just talking about what you like and dislike, just make mention of it. Let her know it's a big deal to you, and that you trust her enough to confide such a major secret in her. She won't understand it immediately... But she'll appreciate the effort it took to tell her, and she'll respect that. And if she doesn't respect that, then she's really not a very nice person.

i hope so.....the last person i was in a relationship didnt tend to keep my fetish as secret as i wanted to and her siblings knew about them and i was ticked off that she didnt keep the secret enough for them to find out.....yeah so I hate the thought of what they knew about and wondered what they were thinking of me.
So I for sure support your Luv that both of u share and share to the world on DA.

chibiBiscuit In reply to pF4Life [2010-08-27 10:03:24 +0000 UTC]
Well, Takai did tell her cousin Kawaii about my kink without asking... But it was more because she was proud of my artwork. She just grabbed my sketch book and sat down next to her and started flipping through it.
I wonder what people think too. Sometimes it bugs me. But the truth is, if you believe it's okay, they'll believe it's okay. Confidence can do wonders for that. One of Kawaii's friends came over for dinner one night, and asked about my art... And so I showed him a fairly vanilla picture I had been drawing in my sketch book. Of course, he starts flipping through it... The bastard. So I start explaining it all to him. He didn't think I was weird, he just commented when he thought was appropriate, and then after he was done, we all went back to talking about non-embarrassing things. For me, this fetish is probably the most unique and remarkable thing about me. I don't know why I was trying to hide that in the first place.
π: 0 β©: 1
pF4Life In reply to chibiBiscuit [2010-08-27 16:24:12 +0000 UTC]
The bastard? LoL well....well ur art is more tamed than when u'd see a tiny person on a GTS's Foot or her crushing a building in the city.
But I have so many kinks that besides the one......and sucked that the people i didnt want to find out....found out.....so it sucked that my relationship with the individual wasn't smart enough to hide her tracks.....-_- but that wasnt the reason i left her it was some others things i learned when i was having second thoughts of the relationship.
Well....I bet Kawaii is a nice person to know ur art.....plus it has a cute/funny vibe to ur Artwork that gets the chicks (meaning Takai and Kawaii)
π: 0 β©: 1
chibiBiscuit In reply to pF4Life [2010-08-31 10:05:04 +0000 UTC]
Some things just don't work out, sadly. But yes, Kawaii is a nice person, and if I weren't already friends with her, it would have probably bothered me if Takai had shared this with her.
And I don't think that my artwork 'gets chicks' exactly. XD I'd like to think it's more that I try to make artwork that's also appealing to people who aren't into this like we are, so that way it's a little more than just fetish art.

Well, y'know, I would ask her before you do that, and seeing as she's not into this like we are, I don't think it would be very appropriate to draw her in that light. I really don't want to make things awkward for her on here, because I'd really like to keep her in the community and part of my comics.
Plus, I'll just warn you now... Takai's protective of her. Kawaii is practically her little sister, and I can tell you just from previous knowledge, Takai will get very defensive if she thinks Kawaii's being wronged.
I know it sounds odd, but those are the consequences of basing your characters off of real people that you see everyday.

Iβll make you laugh, when I was living back in Japan, I was checking out an old βhighway townβ that was built somewhere back in the late 19th century. (I cannot recall the name of it at this time.) Anyway, I was with a few friends who walked into an old inn where you had to take your shoes off before walking on the Tami matt in a large tea room. It took me bit longer to get my boots off because of the laces and my friends got ahead of me. I quickly came into the inn across the matt and something caught my eye. There was sticker on the matt about the size of a bumper sticker you would find on an American car in the center of the room and in broken English it said; βPlease bump head mind.β
Before my brain could put together the information that was there I just happen to glance up in time to come in contact with the large wooden support beam that held up the second story of the inn itself. After βhead buttingβ the beam I lost my composer of my βcenter of gravityβ and fell back just enough to where I slid on the smoothed out straw that made up the matt on my socks and all 6β2β 205 pounds of me came slamming down on to the matt with a surrounded βTHUD!β. Everyone was looking at me. Then I heard the sound of children laughing behind. I crook my head back until I see two young Japanese children laughing and pointing at me and saying (*which I was told later) βBig man go boom!β
βOh boy.β
