I disagree, because Arthur said at the end there was no braver man he ever knew than Merlin that's why I chose Ravenclaw. And I found Morgana fits much better in Slytherin. I couldn't exactly put them both in Slytherin now could I

But
According to J.K Rollings,author of harry potter, Merlin was a student of Slytherin. He was a very prominate muggle rights activist, and judgeing by the time period of merlin against Hogwarts it is very possible that Merlin was taught by Salazar Slytherin. (so cool)
Also, another fun thing to know Dumbledore won a first class order ribbion "The order of Merlin" i believe its in the movie he dies. The ribbon is the color green to reflect the house he came from.it even says so in the inscriptions.
Last fun note I think it was Gryffindor but the sword associated with them is specialtied to be Excalibur.

I have seen the movies from Harry Potter, but I am more into the Merlin fandom than I ever was into HP fandom. Therefor I don't particularly follow JK on Twitter or any of her interviews. Not that she isn't interesting though, she certainly is ^^
Those are quite some fun facts lol, I do believe JK was referring to the Merlin from the official legends though, Merlin from the BBC series is a little altered in that perspective.
It's quite impressive how much you know about all this. Perhaps you also know about Morgana, Guinevere and Arthur then?
I'd definately be interested to read how they would relate to the houses. I guess Arthur would fit to Gryffindor than seeing as the sword is associated to be Excalibur?

i really just look random things up. And play on Pottermore.
The actual legend of camalot is intense and twisted the celtic story is reallly worth the read n research.
I love merlin bbc i watched it through like 5 or 6 times haha. And knowing a lot of the back story really makes it better. Which is saying something because usiallg people r like "the book was better" and it ruins the spin offs.but i quite enjoyed it more.im also inlove with how they portayed merlin and ship mtself with him haha oops.
Technically they wouldent because they arn't wizzards or magic. Well morgana would but in the movie n books she was the queen of avalon and half sister to king Aurthor. She was a powerful whitch and a common card in the chocolate frog game card thing(never really fallowed that)

Mine would be Hufflepuff for Gwen for hardwork and standing up for whats right.
Gryffindor Aurthor for chivalry and strength pf will.
Merlin Slytherin for cunning cleverness but also Ravenclaw for wit and wisdom
Morgana would be both Slytherin for swlf preservation and ambition and Ravenclaw for acceptance and individuality.
