I thought I'd upload a bunch of sprites. I'm really happy with how they turned out. I think I may slowly be getting better at pixeling (meaning it's starting to be easier somehow. I think it's still really hard though).
Hope you like them too : D these are the first 6 characters and their god tier (if they have oneXD ).

Lost Chums Linklist with ThumbnailsLost Chums For those who don't know, this is my personal homestuck fangame project which will be a 2D-jump'n'run thing done in flash HTML5 (switched now xD ). I won't promise that I'll ever get it done but I love working on this. A lot of concept stuff is done so I think I can work on coding some more again soon. The levels would be each in a seperate deviation. Current Status working on character controls and sprites. Basic plot This is an AU. There is no Sburb or anything (though god tiering will happen but a bit different). The Alpha and Beta kids live on earth in different towns. Alpha kids being friends and Beta kids being friends. Dave knows Dirk since they are brothers but they don't know each other's friends. One day Jade gets kidnapped by a spaceship commanded by jack noir and John, Dave and Rose leave to rescue her. Jake also got kidnapped so Dirk, Roxy and Jane go to rescue him. On the spaceship they also find the aliens Karka

The talk about pixeling reminds me of when I first started drawing on a computer and was trying to use MS Paint. I tried duplicating the coloring in some little jpg images I'd keep seeing online and I wasn't too good at making gradients and stuff. Hm... Even after I got Photoshop, I still had some trouble getting just the right pixels in the right places when drawing something small, but at some point I found out that I could just draw stuff big and then shrink it, and it would turn out better than what I could do myself. So now I do that whenever I want a small image. I'm such a cheater. ^_^"

Your sprites are amazing. They're not just flat ones that you see in most spritemaking, they have a depth to them, and each character has their own posture and attitude! My favorite's gotta be little Jake there in his god tier.

aw thank you! I really like flat sprites as well but I wanted to go for the lineless pixelstyle often used in older games. It's much much harder for me but I think it's so worth it. and thanks that you see them as having attitude ;A; that means a lot to me.
And yes I love god tier jake too~ *pokes his glowy wings* I think my fav is shadeless dirk thoughXD

You've improved so much in sprite making, and you only just started.
The improvements in this batch are outstanding.
The colors are so much more vibrant and the details in clothing and hair are amazing. Especially on Dirk and Dave. Big improvements there. And in Karkat's face. I love it!! The wings on both Karkat and Jake look fantastic! Not to mention the details on Karkat's sickles and Dave's sword!! I mean wow! Did you look at those hon? They are amazing. You can even see the scratch on Dave's record shirt.

aw thank you. yes I did. But what I meant was that it takes me foreeeeeeeeever until I like it because it's so difficult for me. When I drew dirk's face and hair I just couldn't get it to look nice at first and I was so frustrated that I nearly pondered a style change for this. but yeah eventually I got something I liked. Or when I made the very first john... gosh he was so ugly (that's not a lie) that I was like noooo I can't do this;A;
I'm still terribly slow with these but I'm getting faster. Tons of animations to do so I better am;A;
