Whew I finished the piccu on time ^___^ (I just got finished ^__^). As Oct 3rd is an important date in Hagaren, I had to draw a piccu related to that. Oct 3rd is also the wedding date from my personal Roy and Ed so I had to throw that in too ^_^;;. Maybe you remember the picture which is on the wall, it's from the wedding pic which I drew, just recoloured (that was work O.o) Edos pocket watch lies as a reminder of what happened in the series on that date on the table. I used a new colouring style and I love it as I really love the whole picture ^__^Medium: Corel Painter
Time: ~10-12h or longer ^_^;; (started on Friday and drew the whole day today)

This is a pretty good pic of RoyxEd. I was just wondering... why is Roy's wedding band on his right hand? And it's doing so in both the pic and the wedding picture on the wall. Both of his hands are showing so it shouldn't matter and should really be on the ring finger of his left hand as is tradition. Then again, it's a gay marriage, so tradition might as well go out the window, ne? Good job none the less.

I'm German and here in Germany it's usually the right rand which is the hand for the wedding band and the left hand for engagement. I like that there is a difference between engagement and marriage shown like that XD when I started to draw them like this I didn't know that in america/england whatever.. OTHER countries the wedding band is on the left hand. But since hiromu arakawa has based amestris loosely on either England or Germany I suppose (I still think it's more germany especially cause it's 'fuhrer king bradley' in the english written texts in the original anime) so I think it would fit like this.XD well on the other hand gracia has her ring on the left I think so whatever..XD
Ed has his band always on the left hand cause he wouldn't wear it on the automail hand of course.XD and I kinda like it that my roy and ed have the rings on different hands^^ I think it's special. so I'll always keep it like that^^

That's something I didn't know about the Germans, so thanks for informing me. And It's completely understandable now. I think that it is better to have it with Roy's ring on his right then because where they are in their world is is parallel to Munich Germany, that was even placed in Conqueror of Shamballa. But I enjoyed the picture and the explanation! Thanks for telling me all about it because I'm a big fan of other cultures and knowing as much as I can about them. Danke!

is that the only thing you noticed XD most of my pics are based on my own story (which only exists in my head so far but I will draw the whole thing). ed is 18, roy 32, they are married(see the rings?^^ ), ed is colonel and roy is brig. general. that's why I almost always draw him in uniform^^ ed started to wear his hair in ponytail more often during the time he goes to war (cause it was more practical) and kept it that way after that.. I don't know if you have seen the movie but there ed also has his hair in ponytail and there are some scenes in the manga where he has a ponytail as well^^ I like that more than the braid ^^

and about seriousness: I don't take the date that serious I just love to do pictures for special dates (it somehow forces me to finish things on time cause I'm usually a very lazy person XD)
