what do girls realy do with makeup and what do they need to look preety

Um... personally? I don't do anything with makeup xD But some people I know use it for various "effects"
A girl from school used eyeliner(?) to make her eyelashes darker, and therefore make her eyes the focal point of attention.
My sister, when I let her, puts blush on me so I won't look so pale. (only for school photos >.>)
She uses eyeshadow.... for... uh... I don't know why xD
Cosplayers often use different bases to make their face look like it has a different shape (useful when you look nothing like the person you're cosplaying as xD)
Really, I think most girls use makeup to focus people's attention to one area, and distract from another.
On the rare occasions I use it, its only to not look so ghostly cuz I don't get enough sun xD
