I love Final Fantasy. And when I saw an FF contest on DeviantART, I decided that once and for all, I would have a piece submitted for a contest. I worked hard on doing some research for an original costume, and then sent out to draw it as best as I could.Unfortunately, with the short amount of time for the contest, I had to scrunge evening time for it, and not enough time was used to correct anatomy, lighting and coloring to my liking. However, I did challenge myself quite a bit with this piece (the coloring style, the weapon, etc) so I am still very proud of how it turned out
The background is a picture of a UofT old building inside roof I took myself. Painted in Photoshop CS5 with a wacom tablet. I took screenshots of my steps, so if anyone wants to see those, let me know.

I sadly missed the contest. Only learned about it weeks after it ended. But this looks cool. I know you had to scrunch some time to get it done on time and all. But you know, if you went back for your own fun, you could always work on the anatomy and stuff and get it exactly how you wanted it. I really like the lighting and the weapon does look pretty wicked.
