I decided to reimagine the Undertale characters as different Inside Out characters.Joy = Sans
Riley = Frisk
Sadness = Alphys
Anger = Undyne
Fear = Papyrus
Disgust = Mettaton
If you guys think there are better choices for each character, comment below! I'm interested in seeing what you guys think

Alphys is qualified to play the roles of either Sadness or Fear, though her specific fears are a bit different from "Fear" as a personification of a natural function of neurometric architecture. Maybe Toriel could play the role of Fear. Anyway, Sadness is how we learn empathy which is one of Alphys's strengths, so that's a good role for her. Her passion (as well as her anxiety) is derived from her sensitivity. Lots of textbook Melancholy traits. It's no wonder she's prone to indulge in escapism (and comfort food) as a defense mechanism. Again, textbook Melancholy traits.
Sans as Sadness works too, though, despite his humor and constant grin. He suffers from fatalism (not nihilism) and has a Cassandra Complex. Whereas a Melancholy mind suffering from a Cassandra Complex would likely be driven into depression, a Phlegmatic like Sans instead retreats into a more Daria-like cynicism, using humor as a defense mechanism. Interestingly, Daria is a Melancholy like Alphys, so these traits don't always follow a predictable path.
Note: 'Inside Out' is a work of genius on-par with 'WALL-E' and 'The Brave Little Toaster'!

Ironic that you put Sans as Joy... Mettaton as Disgust and Undyne as Anger are dead-on, Sans should be Sadness, Papyrus should be Joy, and Alphys should be Fear.
But that's just my opinion.
