....AGHDJASTDHAKSHSHADADSD. WHO ALL REMEMBERS WHEN I WHINED ABOUT MY SKILLS AT DRAWING FELINES? (..I still fail at them, BUT this attempt I like |D)
First of all, this is my entry for a contest is holding right now~ I want to draw Dream SO badly, but I wanted to draw Ark moar <3 *stilllurvesdreamtho* Here be Ark- [link]
ARK. IS. ONE. OF. THE. MOST. EPIC. SONIC. CHARS. EVA. 8D
At first I wanted to draw him sparring with Mecha, but that never came to be DX Then I started randomly sketching his head at first, and this spawned. I almost, ALMOST, failed on the hair, but I finally pulled it all together in the end |D;;;;

...I really for once like the hands, and the EYES. *o* I really need to try to get away from the pen tool though >w<;;; It's mah weakness.....I need to try freehand lining more.

OMFG~!!! Chi this is so flippin' AMAZING~!!! I think I love this more then you do~!!! (There goes my chance of winning down the drain. xDDD)
I think the lineart is really neat and clean. It's nice and fine. So what if you use the pen tool! What's so bad about it anyways? I mean, with Photoshop Elements I don't even have it. *shot'd* (I wish I did. Stupid old computer killed my Photoshop CS3.)
Also, interesting style of shading you used there. *stares* I don't think I've seen that style drawn so well by you before. ^3^ It looks really nice and pulls this whole picture together~!
THE EXPRESSION IS EPIC SAUCE!!! I love the way Ark is looking! He's, like, in between "don't mess with me" and "I'm cool". xDD I ADORE ITTTTTT!!! He has very awesome eyes too. I love the way you shaded them. I WISH I WAS THAT GOOD AT EYES! T3T The epic pose really adds to it too. Same with the spear detail. *nods*

I think it's exelent, I like the eyes and hair turned out grate. Although he kinda looks likes he's pretending his staff is a guitar.

You've done a fantastic job on the colours, and the detail is perfect! You even drew the designs on the spear perfectly! I love the pose you gave him and the shine on the spear and belt really add a nice effect. 8D And I also love the glow around him X3 And the eyes are amazing!.... Seriously Chi, I'm at a loss for words right now X'D Everything looks absolutely epic!

lol I remember the first time you drew Ark. That was the first art trade I've ever had ^^ (you might want to fix the link though X3) It does bring back memories. But Chi, it is not full of fail! I still absolutely love that pic!

That coloring is lovely, especially on the hair. His pose and expression are great.
As for critiques, his right arm is really...odd. The back of what seems to be his elbow bends too far up his arm. Make it more even with the inside, and make the thickness of the forearm more equal to the thickness of the upperarm.
As for the left arm, the outside of the elbow is also uneven with the inside, and the forearm should not be indented where the gauze starts. Even if it's tight, there should only be a very minor indent in the skin/fat. There is also an unneeded indent where the arm goes behind the staff; to the left, there is a slant downward, and on the other side, it slants upward again, like he has a big nick in his arm that is hidden by the staff. :U
His tail base also seems too low, unless it makes a really dramatic bend before it becomes visible from behind his legs.
The pinkey finger is a tad too fat on his right hand.
Like I said though, this is a very lovely picture. <3 The background is snazzy. :U I really love the markings on the staff, and the shading you did on the hair, pants, and face are really awesome. Definately fave-worthy. <:

For the part where the gauze at his wrist starts, I really didn't mean to make it look like that DX I just wasn't sure how else to draw it...
...Let's just say that Ark's tail wanted to be dramatic in this scene XD
....lol, oops xD Didn't mean to make suc a fat pinky. Oh well though, I fail at hands anyways |D
XD Thanks!! The background was made with photoshop affects, so that makes it plain |D Since I didn't really draw it myself. The shading had to redone completely at one point, it failed so hard 8D
